I’ve been lurking Las Vegas real estate listings. Sure, I’m still a year away from buying and I have no idea who I’ll choose for a real estate agent but I do have my lender picked out (she is a GENIUS when it comes to mortgages).
What I am finding in the listings I’ve seen is the same-old-same-old. You know what I mean: listings with no photos or listings with blurry photos or listings with lazy photos or listings with lousy agent remarks. I write for a luxury real estate blog and I frequently see multi-million dollar listings with ONE SENTENCE in the agent’s remarks. What on earth are the homeowners thinking by not DEMANDING that their agent clean up his/her act???
I’m shocked. Really shocked. I thought by now agents would’ve learned the importance of presenting a stellar online presentation for their listings, even in the details as small as the agent’s remarks. So, I’ve decided, as Mistress of the Real Estate Universe (self-appointed), that I would offer a refresher course. Free. No obligation. Here ya go, and you’re welcome:
The fact that a whopping 80 percent of homebuyers do read the remarks seems to have flown right by the study’s glass-is-half-empty authors.
Since your glass is half-full, however, and you understand that reaching 80 percent of homebuyers is a great big plus, you’ll want to stop wasting that space and start using it to power-market your listings.
